a bit About carter

the creation of touched out! was due to pure frustration

At the age of 35, Carter received a shocking ADHD and autism diagnosis, leaving him feeling lost, confused, and angry. Having spent a lifetime trying to fit in, Carter (a husband and father of three) realized he never truly belonged anywhere long-term. After experiencing a severe decline in his mental health, he decided to take action. He picked himself up and began a journey toward understanding and education to better navigate this new chapter of his life.

In today's digital age, many people turn to podcasts for information and support, and Carter was no different. However, he struggled to find a podcast that truly resonated with his experiences as a late-diagnosed neurodiverse adult. This frustration fueled his determination to create something of his own. What began as an educational podcast idea soon blossomed into a thriving community and safe space for others.

Girls Can Wear Pants Too! A Children's Book written by Matt and George Carter, Illustrated by best selling Author/Illustrator Nell Harris

girls can wear pants too! by matt + george carter

During Australia's 2020 covid 19 lockdown my Wife and I penned this children's book as a way to combat societies need to place everything in a little gendered box. Colours, Clothes, toys and sports seem to always be grouped into "Boy things” and “Girl things” so this book serves as a reminder to Children that it doesn’t matter what you wear, what you play or how you dress. As long as you are happy, that’s all that’s important. Illustrations by best selling Author/Illustrator Nell Harris (Releasing in late 2024)

"Girls Can Wear Pants Too" is a delightful children's book celebrating individuality and breaking gender stereotypes. Inspired by the author's desire to empower her daughter, who embraces a variety of interests and preferences, the story unfolds through charming rhymes and vibrant illustrations.

"Girls Can Wear Pants Too" isn't just a story; it's a conversation starter. It prompts children and adults alike to reflect on the importance of acceptance and inclusion. By emphasizing that being true to oneself is the ultimate victory, the book fosters a sense of empowerment and self-confidence in its young readers.

With its engaging narrative and affirming message, "Girls Can Wear Pants Too" is more than just a children's book—it's a celebration of individuality, diversity, and the limitless potential within every child.
